Family Film Ready
What awaits us are moments of love, laughter, warmth and a time you will be able to keep for the rest of your life. These moments do not have to be staged, but they do have to be felt. We can set the stage for these moments to happen. Below is a quick guide to help prepare us for our family film.
Setting The Stage
If our film is taking place indoors or at your home, there are a few ways to prepare our space. Keep in mind that there is no need to have your home looking any different than how it already looks.
All lights should be turned off and all blinds should be opened to allow as much natural light to flow in
Stage your home exactly how you would like for it to show. Keep in mind that we might move around and use every room that fits our moments
If you have family that visits, make sure to communicate our session and not have them roaming around unless they are to be part of our moments
Amazing Host
As much as you might feel the urge to host me at your home, during these moments you are my guest. I want to make sure that your family is the main focus for our day and that might mean to see me as a fly on the wall.
Still Moments
There may be moments where everything goes silent and still, allow those moments to happen. As mentioned before, these moments can not be staged because they are shared feelings between you and your family. If you find yourself feeling nervous or shy, its okay to just be there in the still moment.
Kids Will Be Kids
In my experience in working with kids, they are our boss. We are there to follow their orders. That means there may be times were they may get fussy or act out, that is completely okay. We will allow these moments to happen and try our best to keep them busy, but we will go at their own comfortability.
